Mary's Flower Garden
This year I've been working on a new collection of floral images. It all began recalling an early influence on my work, one of America's great painters, Georgia O'Keeffe. As a young artist working in photography, her close up images of all kinds of flowers fascinated me. Now I capture the beauty of flowers with paint and canvas. While I do not try to emulate her style, these new images are painted in tribute to Ms. O'Keefe.
Each of these ten images also include some glitter sparkles in highlight areas,
just something new I've been experimenting with lately.
More fun from my garden palette... from daisies, hydrangeas, and irises that I grow to water lilies and roses that I wish would grow in my garden!
